RED THREAD Corn Hole Bags

After several requests from customers, I now have Corn Hole Bags available. Samples of fabric are available-just send me a note under the Contact Me tab; include the color(s) you want (up to six), and your complete address so I can mail the samples to you. Be sure to use the drop down menu to select your color preferences when ordering! Custom (solid) colors also available upon request. Why RED THREAD?...I always do the final, outside seam in red thread, just so you know they were sewn by me. When you are ready to reorder, use www.redthreadbags.com to find me! How easy is that! SHIPPING: USPS Priority Mail. SAVE ON SHIPPING!: I know shipping is expensive for these bags. If you live near Zephyrhills, here are two options to save the shipping/handling fee. Place an order and set up an appointment for pick up at my studio. OR: Check the EVENTS tab to see where I will have a booth (not always available). Either way, simply notify me through the Contact Tab regarding colors needed and I will have your order ready for pickup. Be sure to include a phone number or email address so I can confirm your order and answer any questions. Payment will be due at pickup, and I do collect sales tax. If you plan to pick up your order, please DO NOT place an order online; this site is designed to automatically charge shipping and handling. I strive to keep all colors in stock and ready for sale. I welcome requests anytime; however a 2 day notice for pickups is appreciated (2 weeks for custom colors). Then I can assure I have your specific color(s), sewn, and ready for you.

In order (left to right): Yellow; Orange; Dark Brown; Gold. Fushia (bright pink); Burgandy; Red. Bright Blue; Navy Blue; Purple. Khaki; Olive; Bright Green; Hunter Green. Royal Blue and Black are also available, but not shown. Only SOLID colors available at this time. CUSTOM COLORS available on request; allow 2 weeks; $5.00 extra per custom color. Ask for details. NOTE: Colors vary on monitors. Color samples are available-Simply use the CONTACT ME form and list the colors (up to 6) you prefer. Be sure to include your complete mailing address; which will be used soley by me for this purpose.

CONSTRUCTION

The Hunter Green fabric shown here illustrates the "inside" of the bag. I typically use thread that matches the fabric for these stitches, but I wanted the stitches to stand out so you can better see the details of construction. First, ALL edges are serged (black) to prevent the edges from raveling out or fraying. This provides a stronger seam since the material doesn't fall apart. Next, I sew around all four sides, leaving an opening (as shown here) that allows me to turn the bag right-side-out, and to fill it with corn. The light colored thread shows how this stitching is "backtacked". Backtacking, or sewing backwards when starting and finishing a seam, is a sewer's way of knotting a thread without actually knotting it...backtacking prevents the machine stitching from coming loose. By the nature of the game, stitching is under a lot of stress. But I feel that by serging and double stitching all the seams, I am offering corn hole bags that are extremely durable. The other 2 bags show filled bags. On the green one, you can see my signature RED THREAD. 100% pre-washed Duck cloth is used. Whole feed corn is the filler.
